I began tutoring in Japan after realizing that many talented students struggled not from lack of ability, but from the absence of proper guidance and structure. Having studied abroad myself, I understood the challenges of balancing academics, cultural differences, and future goals. That experience inspired me to create LightHouse, a partner who supports students throughout their journey. What started as one-on-one tutoring soon grew into a community. LightHouse became known not just for teaching subjects but for walking alongside students, guiding them through IB, IGCSE, and university admissions, while also providing progress management tools to keep them on track. Families began calling LightHouse their child’s “academic partner” and even their “doctor for learning.” Today, that vision continues as LightHouse Global, supporting students worldwide with Japanese precision, personalized care, and the belief that every learner deserves someone to rely on.
